Emergency trip to North Country Hospital

After a day of crying and complaining about countless aches and pains, Katie's fever spiked. Unfortunately, her blood tests from earlier today showed that her ANC has dropped to approximately 230. So, according to the rules we were off to the hospital. We have only been here for a few minutes so we don't know what's wrong yet.

Might be strange to say, but I'm glad you're at North County. I hope they can give Katie something to ease her pain and get some rest...so Mom and Dad can too. The phone is right beside my bed...call if you need anything...or just to let me know how you all are. Love you. Lots of hugs, kisses, and prayers.

I hope you're faring well at the hospital and they are able to give you something to feel a bit more comfortable Katie. I'll be thinking about you tonight on the mountain and look forward to a positive update when I wake up tomorrow! Safe travels in the rainy weather.
Love you!

In case Rick doesn't get to the blog early/soon, I thought I'd update via my comment. They are at Fletcher Allen now...went during the night. Katie has had lots of tests and pokes and prods and is now sleeping. I'm sure Rick will post results later, but wanted to let anyone know where they are. Our love and prayers to all of you. PS...Joshua is here with me.
